Acclaimed Southern California singer-songwriter Jamie Reno is
proud to announce the release of his much anticipated new solo
record, "All American Music," which features an all-star
cast of rock and country music greats.
Among those sitting in with Reno on this project are Randy Meisner
of the Eagles, American music legends Ricky Skaggs and Charley
Pride, and guitar great Dickey Betts, Southern rock legend Charlie
Daniels, extraordinary musician Jeff "Skunk" Baxter of Steely
Dan and the Doobie Brothers, virtuoso guitarist Jerry Donahue
of the Hellecasters, multi-instrumentalist Dennis Caplinger, rising
singing stars Eve Selis and Randi Driscoll, and many more.
"Randy Meisner sounds as good or better than he did in his Eagles
days. His backing vocals really brought my songs to life," says
Reno. " And it's an honor to have Dickey Betts, Jeff "Skunk"
Baxter and Jerry Donahue playing lead to my rhythm guitar. Eve
Selis and Randi Driscoll are great singers, and Dennis Caplinger
is probably the best musician I have ever worked with. As for
Charlie Daniels, what can I say about a legend. He's such a generous
guy, and still a master on the fiddle. It was a truly great experience
recording with some of the best musicians in the world."
A heartfelt and at times heartbreaking musical journey filled
with bittersweet, soulful country-rock songs written, sung and
performed by Reno, "All American Music" was co-produced
by Reno and veteran musician-producer Josquin Des Pres (Bernie
Taupin, Young Dubliners) and engineered by 2002 Grammy nominee
Bernie Torelli.
Reno, by day an esteemed journalist with Newsweek, has seen his
music career blossom the last two years. His last three releases,
"My Side of Paradise" (2000), "Reunion" (2001), and "Favorite
One" (2002) were each met with critical acclaim and are still
selling well nationally. Reno is a six-year survivor of non-Hodgkins
lymphoma cancer.
"All American Music" hits record stores nationwide on Jan.
